Edwards wins 2018 SC&RA Hauling Job of the Year!

Edwards Moving & Rigging received the 2018 Hauling Job of the Year Award from the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association at its Annual Conference in Boca Raton, Fl., April 21, 2018. SC&RA is an international organization comprised of more than 1,350 members from 46 nations.
The SC&RA Hauling Job of the Year Award recognizes members who successfully meet professional challenges encountered in hauling. Judges consider shipment routing, planning, physical elements, safety considerations and execution. Edwards won in the trucking 160,000-500,000 lbs.net category.
Edwards’ winning entry consisted of the Over-the-Road transport of three of the largest-ever fully assembled turbines from Schenectady, NY, to a new combined cycle power plant in the hills of Jessup, PA. The final gross weight of the configuration came to 913,227 pounds and measured 345 feet long, 18 feet tall and its widest expansion was 20 feet 2 inches wide.
Firms across the United States and around the world submit dozens of entries to the SC&RA Awards competition each year. The Awards program recognizes worldwide excellence in the crane, rigging and specialized transportation industry.
