Bridge & Utility Mitigation

At Edwards Rigging and Moving, we understand that heavy transport often involves intricate challenges beyond just moving the load. Successfully navigating existing infrastructure, including bridges and overhead utilities, requires meticulous planning, specialized equipment, and a deep understanding of engineering principles. That’s where our comprehensive bridge and utility mitigation services come in. We offer a full suite of solutions to ensure your heavy cargo reaches its destination safely and without disruption to existing infrastructure.

Our Bridge & Utility Mitigation Equipment Includes:

    Modular Bridge Jumpers

Edwards’ extensive inventory of Modular Bridge Jumpers are designed to be transported to our job sites in modular legal loads. Our inventory includes 20′-65′ systems as well as 80′-120′ systems which allow us to clear span a 100′ long bridge.  Designed with Edwards’ rapid relocation system, our 120’ bridge jumper is capable of multiple same day jumps, can be used in width increments of 8’–24’, and can support up to a 3,000,000 lb (1500 ton) load.

In addition to providing permitting solutions for haul route bridges and culverts, our jumpers can also mitigate on-site underground utilities, cable trays, machinery containment pits, and other conditions that require mitigation.

    Overhead Utility Mitigation

Edwards’ large inventory of drop decks, beams, and suspension beams when combined with our fleet of hydraulic platform, dual lane, and multi-axle trailers along with our hydraulic lock and slide and gantry systems provide solutions where Overhead Utility Mitigation is a concern.  Whether over the road or onsite, our ability to lower the transportation height envelope makes for a more efficient and cost effective logistics solution.

    Transport Configurations

Edwards’ inventory of bridge friendly Goldhofer Dual Lane trailers provide the perfect Transport Configurations for permitting over-the-road routes with bridges that cannot be jumped but require greater dispersion of heavy loads.  By combining our Goldhofer platform trailers with conventional dollies in a hybrid configuration or length spacers and load distribution decks, Edwards can also provide cost effective solutions where other trailers may not permit.
